题型解读

短文改错题总分10分，要求同学们在一篇200～250词的短文中找出10处错误，并根据上下文在错误的地方增、删、改正、替换某一个词或词组，使短文语意连贯，结构正确。短文改错题主要测试同学们的英语综合理解与表达能力。它不但要求大家有扎实的语言基础知识（如词汇、语法等），而且要求我们有较强的语篇理解能力与表达能力，以及利用上下文进行逻辑推理的能力。

短文改错题的内容比较广泛，无论是语法、词汇、篇章理解、逻辑判断等都可能成为改错的对象；与完形填空及词汇题相比，后者有明确的目标与给定的选项，而改错题右边虽有标志行，却仍需我们去捕捉错误，并纠正过来，给出正确的形式，这些都为短文改错题增加了难度。

答题策略

要想从根本上提高做短文改错题的能力，就要打好扎实的英语基础，有丰富的词汇用法、固定搭配及句式结构知识等。同时，在平日英语学习的过程中，要多多阅读，培养英语的语感，提高语篇理解能力，增强自己辨错、纠错的能力。

典型例题

There are 10 errors altogether in the following passage. Each indicated line contains a maximum of one error. Correct the passage in the following way: for a wrong word, underline the wrong word and write the correct one in the blank; for a missing word, mark the position of the missing word with the sign “∧” and write the word you believe to be missing in the blank; for an unnecessary word, cross the unnecessary word with the sign “\” and put the word with the sign in the blank. Write the answers on the answer sheet.

题例解析

81．去掉all。all 可以修饰后面的名词parts，表示“所有的地方”；parts 也可与different 连用，表示“不同的地方”。但all different 连用修饰parts，意思不通。根据句意，应去掉all。

82．在will前加上it。本句句式结构复杂，impression 后跟that引导的同位语从句，对impression的内容进行解释说明。在这个同位语从句中，又含有一个so...that...引导的结果状语从句。根据句意可知，that后缺少一个主语it。

83．misled → misleading。本句中It is in fact... 后应跟形容词。misleading adj. 误导性的；骗人的；引入歧途的。misled v.把……带错方向（mislead的过去式）。

84．way → ways。由上一词several可知后面应接名词复数形式，故改成。

85．do → does。since 引导的从句中含有两个定语从句which is exactly the same everywhere and has the same high status throughout the world修饰主语a version of English。根据主谓一致原则，主语是单数，谓语动词也要用单数，因此要用does来否定谓语动词exist。

86．who’s → whose。本句中people 后跟一个定语从句，引导词在定语从句中作定语，而who’s = who is，不能作定语。应改为whose first language is English。

87．much → many。too much 与too many都表示“太多”，前者修饰不可数名词，后者修饰可数名词复数。本题中被修饰名词为differences，因此修饰语应为too many。

88．of → for。of表示所有关系，for 表示（对象）属于……的。

89．locally → local。本题中politics前有修饰语，修饰名词的应为形容词。而locally 是副词，不能修饰名词，因此应改为local。

90．teaching → taught。本句中fact 后跟有一个同位语从句，同位语从句是一个含有情态动词的被动句，其基本结构为：may be+过去分词。因此应把teaching改为taught。
